Summer Wait

I have to admit it; I am ready to leave. This summer has been inching along as I work at the pool and it has felt tedious to wait for the end of August. It’s not that  I want to leave the people here, it’s that I am ready to start this adventure that I know God has set out for me. He has blessed me with so many cool ideas and expereinces that I know will be used greatly while in Australia. The only problem is that even though I am ready to go right now, I know that when I get to NewCastle I will then be very ready to see my loved ones again. God has given me some time to spend with my family and that has been great… so the summer hasn’t been wasted.

Along with family, I have had a couple friends visit me over the sumer. Keith Turner, Christine Pidoux, and Anne Kelley came out to see me here!  I decided, since both Keith and Anne hadn’t seen a lot of California, that I should be their tour guide and show them what CA has to offer. First thing is we went to Sonora pass for an evening car ride and picnic!

Then for the weekend we headed down to the coast to camp at Fremont Peak! What a view! The water wasn’t bad and the weather cooperated too! Overall a great time was had.

We even went SkyDiving afterwords!!! Seriously that was THE MOST amazing thing I have ever done. I very much consider myself to be a thrill seeker and there is nothing above skydiving on my extensive list!! I am going to look into getting my diving certificate so I can go ALL the time! 🙂 I was lucky enough to have my camera to catch a couple shots of Jim as he came down. Awesome adventure!!
