Ryan Moore…. what?
I am a Film major that has one year left to go at Southern Adventist University yet decieded that going out to Australia was something I couldn’t wait that year for. God told me to go NOW! So here I am; and here is my hourney.
I am hanging out here in Newcastle, Australia for a total of 11 months and during that time I will do things I know I will never get a chance to do again. That is why I am blogging all of this. Not only do I want to share my experiences with everyone back home (Sonora), at Walla Walla, at Southern, and around the world; but I also want to document that amazing journey that God is leading me on.
So what exactly am I doing? Well…. hanging out! My official title is “Youth Coodinator” but that pretty much means: Plans some stuff, hang out, grow close, study together, and learn to love God together. It’s all about building relationships and showing God’s love through them. Jesus came here not to set everyone straight, but to teach by example… and that example never forced anything on anyone. So if the kids want to learn, I’m there for them… but I am not going to shove the message down your throat; there are too many awesome things to be doing instead. Let’s go surfing! Let’s play lazer tag! Let’s sit down and just talk about life. Let’s take trips and make memories! And maybe during all of that, I can show you an awesome guy that has totally changed my life… wanna hear about it?
